Mac’s List Donating Job Search Books to Oregon Libraries

Mac’s List, the premier job board for professionals in the Pacific Northwest, is donating free job search books to the people of Oregon. Now all you’ll need is a library card to learn the skills you need to find a job you can love.

As part of the organization’s ongoing mission to help people find meaningful work, Mac’s List is offering complimentary copies of two books, “Land Your Dream Job in Portland“ and “Land Your Dream Job Anywhere“ to every public library in the state of Oregon.

“We’re passionate about helping people find meaningful, rewarding work–something that everyone deserves,” said Mac Prichard, founder of Mac’s List and author of both Land Your Dream Job books. “That’s why we’re  offering copies of my books to libraries throughout the state so that every Oregonian has the tools and tips they need for a successful job search.”

First published in 2015, Land Your Dream Job in Portland, remains the only book in print on finding professional work in the Rose City, historically one of the most competitive job markets in the United States. The book is a deep dive into Portland’s unique working culture and networking scene, and includes insider perspectives from 18 local career experts. Now on it’s second edition, it has sold thousands of copies.

Land Your Dream Job Anywhere is Mac’s List’s ultimate guide to a job search, no matter where you live. It includes a strategic job search roadmap, along with practical, actionable tips for finding the right job. The book also features contributions from 20 nationally-recognized career experts.

“Both books offer my best advice for job seekers, gathered through nearly two decades of running Mac’s List,” said Prichard. “We’re excited to share this tried-and-true knowledge, so that no one ever needs to struggle with another painful job search again.”

Copies of the two “Land Your Dream Job” books are available, for free, to any public library or higher education institutions in the state of Oregon. Institutions interested in getting copies can complete a request form available at https://www.macslist.org/freebooks.

“If your library doesn’t have a copy of the book, please encourage them to order a free copy through us,” continued Prichard. “It’s important that everyone has access to these resources.”
